BUFFALO, N.Y. - A four apartment building in South Buffalo is a total loss. Buffalo firefighters say those living inside managed to escape from the building.
Fire officials confirm to 2-On-Your-Side that a fire started on the first floor of a building on Selkirk Street around 3 a.m.
Firefighters say a woman jumped out the window of the second story apartment and suffered non-life threatening injuries. Officials say a man then threw a 3-month old baby out a window into the arms of another man. Two other children were carried out from the upstairs apartment.
We're told two firefighters also suffered injuries and are expected to be OK.
There's no word yet on a damage total or what may have started the fire. The Red Cross is assisting those who have been displaced by the fire.
