BUFFALO, NY -- People who cared about a little boy whose life was taken too soon -wanted to say good bye to little Eain and remember.
"Eain was a beautiful little child, and every time he was around you couldn't help but smile because he was funny," Laura Torres said.
A vigil was held in his memory right outside the home where Eain lived.
Candles, stuffed animals and notes -- all spread out on the front porch as well as Eain's favorite toys.
He loved dinosaurs and to ride his small tricycle. He is missed.
"We may not be blood relatives of his, but you don't need to be blood to be a child," Delgado said.
Eain's funeral took place earlier in the day. Just a week his mother's boyfriend was charged with his murder. We respected family member's wishes and kept our distance...
Moving forward, there's hope.
"We hope after all this tragedy they become more aware about all these other children who are also being abused. Hopefully the community will not only open their eyes but scream if they have to.
As night settles, prayers are sent out to Eain who is in a better place.
"Now you're up in heaven with the angels up above -- they will take my place for now and give you all their love."
