BUFFALO, NY - Hundreds of people came downtown Sunday morning to help promote a healthy lifestyle and raise funds for a health-conscious organization.
This is the 19th year for the Heart Walk event which benefits the Western New York chapter of the American Heart Association.
Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised through the event which the Heart Association uses in various ways, ranging from urging kids to adopt health diets to learn important life lessons.
" We've trained over 6,500 students this year alone in the life-saving skill of CPR," said Zulawski. "We are in over 200 schools in the Western New York area with curriculum for children who learn healthy eating and ways to be physically fit."
Two On Your Side's Maryalice Demler helped fire up the crowd for this Channel 2-sponsored walk to help combat cardiovascular disease -- the number one killer in the U.S.
