TONAWANDA, NY - It's a story that we never like to share but a Tonawanda family is hoping for your help as they deal with pediatric cancer.
Brooklyn MacIver was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in June. She's already undergone chemotherapy and her parents have recently learned that the tumor growing around her aorta has gotten bigger.
They'll be taking Brooklyn to Michigan and then Illinois to see specialists.
Meanwhile, friends of the family are holding a benefit Sunday to raise money and awareness. The benefit takes place at the Hearthstone Manor in Depew from 3 to 7 p.m. There will be basket raffles, sports memorabilia, food and entertainment.
And even if you can't make the benefit, you can still help. Go to butterfliesforbrooklyn.com for more information.
