BUFFALO, N.Y. -- In Western New York and in cities across the country, pregnant women are selling their positive pregnancy tests to other women, and in many cases legal experts say they are clear cases of fraud.

This disturbing trend was first noticed after a website posted a story about a Craigslist ad from Buffalo, where a woman was offering positive pregnancy tests for $25 each.

It turns out, there are similar posts on Craigslist all over the country.

In some cases, the sellers are very direct, saying "time to get Mr. Right to pop the question" and "Want that guy to marry you quicker, revenge whatever."

2 On Your Side Legal Analyst Barry Covert says the women who buy the tests could be charged with mail or wire fraud if it can be proven that they were lying in order to defraud their partners.

He says the sellers could also face criminal charges if they are part of a conspiracy to commit fraud.
