AMHERST, NY-- The La-Z-Boy furniture store in Amherst has closed.
We received a message on Twitter from a viewer that said the huge store on Sheridan Drive was closed.
A spokesperson for La-Z-Boy says the store, which was owned and operated by an independent dealer, closed Monday.
La-Z-Boy says it is looking to open another store in the market either run by another independent dealer or by the company.
The store owner, Michael DeNisco, told us he plans on reopening in ten to 14 days. He also says everyone will get their furniture. He says staffing problems forced him to close temporarily.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson said they are currently researching current orders that customers have with Amherst location and will honor all current orders in their production system.
