HAMBURG, NY-- If you head over to the Erie County Fair this year, you'll see just how much you can do with a simple can.
Seventeen thousand cans that have been donated to the Food Bank of WNY will be been turned into three different "can-creation" displays at the fair.
"The food in the cans lasts longer and is more beneficial to the Food Bank. So this is just a more creative way to get cans donated, but making soemthing out of it so that at the end it's something they can use," says Can Creator Heather Lang.
An eight and-a-half foot tall farmhouse will be the largest of the three displays, using nearly 6,000 cans.
The fair opens up on Wednesday.
