BUFFALO, NY - Governor Andrew Cuomo made three stops in Western New York on Wednesday with a delivery of some much-needed cash.

The money he brought was casino revenue that was withheld by the Senecas in a dispute with the state. An agreement between Albany and the Seneca Nation last month released that money to the state, and subsequently  the cities that host the casinos.

Niagara Falls received $89 million, Salamanca receives $34.5 million and Buffalo received $15.5 million.

Seneca Nation President Barry E. Snyder, Sr. said, "This is a historic day for the Seneca Nation and NYS."

Governor Cuomo made appearances in each of the host cities along with Snyder. Cuomo said he recognized both the history of the Seneca people and their nation, as well as the hardships each of the host cities endured without the promised money for the four years the dispute held payments in limbo.
