Woman Attacked Along City Bike Path

BUFFALO, NY-A Depew woman is recovering from injuries she suffered after she was attacked and robbed along a bike path on Buffalo's west side.

It happened around 7:30 at Forest Avenue and Niagara Street. The victim told police she was dragged onto the path and then punched and kicked.

The suspect, who was riding a bike,  threatened a weapon, but did not show one. He took the woman's purse containing some cash and her cell phone.

He's described as a thin, light-skinned black male, about 5'9", maybe 14 or 15 years old with short hair and was wearing a red shirt and blue track pants.

The victim was taken to ECMC for treatment.
