BUFFALO, NY-A crowd estimated at around 200 people gathered in Niagara Square Saturday to add their voices to calls for justice for slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin.

Buffalo was one of 100 cities around the country holding demonstrations following last week's aquittal of admitted shooter George Zimmerman.

Several hundred people gathered in Miami to call for federal civil rights charges against a neighborhood watch leader found not guilty in the death of unarmed teen Trayvon Martin.

Many wore T-shirts with the slain teen's image and held signs Saturday. Martin's father attended and spoke at the rally outside a downtown federal courthouse.

In Miami, Shantescia Hill carried a sign that read, "Everyone deserves a safe walk home." She said she wants to see Florida's stand-your-ground law repealed.

George Zimmerman was found not guilty in Martin's death one week ago. The case has ignited a debate about race relations, guns and self-defense laws.

Hundreds of people, including the music superstars Jay-Z and Beyonce, have assembled in New York City at one of the rallies being held around the country calling for "justice" for slain teenager Trayvon Martin. Martin's mother, Sybrina Fulton, and the Rev. Al Sharpton were leading the vigil on a plaza in downtown Manhattan.
