BUFFALO, N.Y. -- There's new information in a wrongful arrest case involving the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
Wednesday night, we first told you about Stephen Kocher. He says sheriff officers wrongfully arrested him in his driveway back in February.
Officers were looking for a suspect in his neighborhood who made a threatening call to police. Kocher says officers put him in handcuffs, aggravating a hip injury he already had.
Now, Kocher plans to sue the sheriff's office, saying it has delayed his recovery.
The sheriff's office got back to us Friday with a response. The department investigated the matter and interviewed all deputies involved.
Scott Joslyn, the Chief of the Professional Standards Division said, "I looked at the actions of our officers and their actions did not violate policy."
