Car Theft Results in Three Arrests

BUFFALO, NY - A car caused quite a bit of damage to a house on Monroe Street in Buffalo early Saturday morning. 

Buffalo police say 20-year-old Autrail Cooperwood of Buffalo stole a Chevrolet Malibu and later crashed the stolen vehicle into a utility pole on the 400 block of Monroe Street.

Cooperwood and two other males fled the vehicle but were soon caught by Buffalo Police officers.

Cooperwood has been charged with driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, disorderly conduct, and other charges. His passengers were charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction.
