BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The man who was convicted for shooting and killing an Amherst Abortion doctor close to 15 years ago has lost an appeal to have that conviction overturned.

James Kopp is currently serving consecutive life sentences in the death of Dr. Barnett Slepian.

Kopp asked the Supreme Court to reconsider his case and argued that he'd been denied his constitutional right to a fair trial because of improper legal representation.
