BUFFALO, N.Y. -- It's been a long process full of delays, but finally The City of Buffalo began it's final testing on the MLK Park splash pad Thursday.
That involved turning on the sprayers and filling up the wading pools.
It's something we reported on a lot last year, with the delays involving the contractor who wasn't able to get the job done in time for the neighborhood that was promised a spot to cool off *last* summer.
But the city says the splash pad is good to go now and will be opened on June First.
On a side note, city pools open July First.
