MAYVILLE, NY-- The Chautauqua County District Attorney says the death of a prisoner who was tasered by Jamestown Police, has been ruled accidental and the investigation into his death is now closed.
District Attorney David Foley says a toxicology report showed that Charles Baker died from acute intoxication of two drugs.
Foley says Baker ingested several packets of suspected cocaine in an attempt to hide them from police after his arrest in February.
Officers used a stun gun on Baker after he reportedly became combative while being booked.
He was then held in a confinement chair for two hours and then transferred to a holding cell. After arriving at his cell, he suffered a seizure and was taken to WCA Hosptial where he later died.
