HAMBURG, N.Y. -- A local school board has voted to continue spending money to find an anonymous blogger who's been critical of the district.
The Hamburg School Board wants to proceed with one lawsuit against board member Sally Stephenson, her daughter Lindsay, and Martha Kavanaugh, a teacher.
The district is accusing them of illegally recording a meeting held in private executive session and giving it to the blogger who then posted it online.
"They've been on a witchhunt for someone who was in that meeting who taped that meeting. I have not been in that school building in years. I was in my home with a former gym teacher, his wife, and a whole household of kids and my daughter and I. Because they want to keep me off the board, they want to keep accusing me of this and I'm outspoken. I've been an outspoken critic of the district," said Stephenson.
The district has spent $10,000 on the lawsuit, though board members would not comment on camera about the investigation tonight.
