BUFFALO, NY - Police in the City of Buffalo are looking for who may be responsible for a recent burglary.

Investigators say it happened sometime between the early evening of May 6th and the overnight hours of May 7th in the first block of Woodlawn Avenue.

They say the suspect entered the home and fled with thousands of dollars. However, at some point, police believe that a Pitbull-Boxer mix may have tried to stop the alleged thief. Police say the suspect stabbed the dog numerous times and the dog later died of its injuries.

If you have information, you're asked to call detectives (716) 847-2255.
