BUFFALO, N.Y. -- An East Side neighborhood that hasn't seen a lot of business growth in recent decades will soon be home to a new, forward-looking company.
"Living Green Insulation" will use recycled paper products as the raw material to create two useful products, a cheap and efficient form of blown-in insulation and an environmentally-friendly garden mulch.
"The whole project is green. And we'll be able to hire people from the community. We'll be able to start with ten employees to start off the first shift. We'll have the capability to do three shifts, but we'll start with one shift," said co-owner Eileen Shareef.
The company is housed in the old Iroquois Brewery on Pratt Street which has been vacant since the '70s.
