ALBANY, N.Y. -- The bill is in for cleanup costs from a rally in Albany against New York's new gun control laws.
Hundreds took part in the February event in West Capitol Park.
Rain and sleet on the day of the rally helped turn the lawn into a muddy mess.
Our NBC affiliate in Albany reports State Assemblyman Steve McLaughlin wrote a letter to the Office of General Services questioning the cleanup cost of $61,000.
He got a letter back outlining nearly $10,000 was needed for the sod, $13,000 for the topsoil and $38,000 for labor.
