The father of the two Boston bombing suspects says he believes his sons were framed.

Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were identified as the two people in the images released by officials Friday.

Twenty six-year-old Tamerlan was killed in a shoot out with police last night and his brother, 19-year-old Dzhokhar, is the subject of a manhunt that has the Boston area on lock down.

Speaking from his home in Russia, their father Anzor said he believed the boys were framed and called the shooting of his oldest son "cowardly."

He said he's scared for Dzhokar's life and said authorities should arrest him and bring him in alive.

In a separate interview, Anzor said he is 100 percent confident in his sons' innocence.

He said the boys never even saw guns in his home except on television.

He also said Chechens are persecuted in Kyrgyzstan and that's why they fled to the US.

The two suspects are ethnic Chechens.
