Dr. Corasanti in court awaiting sentence.
BUFFALO, NY-- The Erie County Sheriff's Office has confirmed to 2 On Your Side that Dr. James Corasanti was released from jail today.
"Inmate Corasanti in accordance to New York State Corrections Law has been released from custody of the Erie County Sheriff's Office without incident," in a statement from Erie County Undersheriff Mark Wipperman.
Corasanti was convicted of a misdemeanor DWI following the accident that left a Getzville teenager, Alix Rice, dead in 2011.
Corasanti was scheduled to be released on Sunday, April 14, but was released early Friday morning.
