A Warsaw sophomore with a festive name is continuing her award-winning efforts. Holiday Makson has raised thousands for the American Cancer Society. She started in 2007 when two beloved family members were diagnosed with cancer.
At first, Holiday was part of her mom's fundraising team, but now she has her own team: "Kids Against Cancer".
She has participated every year since in the annual Relay For Life, for The American Cancer society. But it's her self-motivation and creativity that I like.
Holiday organized a car wash last year to raise money. She's doing it again this year. She had a gift-wrapping fundraiser. Is planning a Tupperwareparty fundraiser.
Her biggest project however, is creating beautiful accessories and selling them. Holiday handmakes hairclips, decorative duct tape pins, flowered headbands and a lot more.
She sells them at an annual Jamboree in the area. And in the school. She in a fundraising all-star for the American Cancer Society. Want to help her?
