Glens Falls, N.Y.-McKinley beat Bishop Ludden 75-61 in the Class A semifinals early Saturday. Coach Zaire Dorsey said the keys to today's game were defense, "defense, defense pressure, pressure their point guard, those were the keys to today's game".
Lovell Smith led the way with 23 points. He was 10 of 15 from the floor. Marcus Morris had 21 points. He was 5 of 6 from three point range.
Samuel Smith had 10 points while Reyzjon Jordan chipped in with nine. DaeQuan Warren had 11 rebounds for the Macks.
The Macks will play Burke Catholic from Section IX Sunday at 1:30 pm as they try to win their first ever state championship. "They look like a pretty well coached team", Dorsey said about Burke Catholic. "They looked ready to play from the jump".
Sundays game is the Macks second trip to the state final. "The kids are very excited", Dorsey said, the parents are excited, teachers are excited. Its a pretty big deal for the school".
