BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bishop Richard Malone is out of town, but he spoke with 2 On Your Side by phone Wednesday night from Baltimore where he's attending a meeting.
He talked about what he knows about Pope Francis.
"I know he was very concerned for the poor. I know he was able to take a very strong stand on matters of value, for example the defense of unborn human life, the defense of marriage as the union of a man and a woman. Known though in special way for his compassion for those most in need, for the poor," said Malone.
Bishop Malone is expected back in Western New York Friday and will share more of his thoughts on the new pontiff then.
