BUFFALO, NY--  The Buffalo Planning Board is giving the green light to a future, much anticipated restaurant in downtown Buffalo and a liquor store on property owned by Wegmans in North Buffalo.

The first involved plans for Rochester based Dinosaur BBQ. Dinosaur BBQ restaurant will set up shop in a vacant building on Franklin Street in downtown Buffalo.  There were a couple of concerns, including one from a nearby business owner, who objected to potential smoke fromthe meat smokers.  The board recommended raising the smoke stacks to alleviate that issue. Dinosaur BBQ is expected to open later this year.

The second project approved Tuesday morning is a wine & liquor store to be built on a small piece of land just outside the Wegman's store on Amherst Street.
