BATAVIA, N.Y. -- Two former City of Batavia firefighters and a hospital worker who pleaded guilty to running a sports gambling ring, will not be going to prison.

Firefighters, Gregory Phillips and Brian Bordinaro, and Lance Engel were all given 120 days in a weekend work program.  They were also charged a $1,000 fine and given three years probation.

Both firefighters lost their pensions and jobs.

All three are due back in court at the end of the month when their 120 days will begin.
