AMHERST, N.Y.-Saturday Amherst won its first Sectional title since 2005 with a win over Iroquois. Tuesday at Buffalo State they'll try to earn a trip to the Far West Regionals.

The Tigers will have to play a team with a contrasting style to get there. Amherst is better in the half court while McKinley loves to run. Senior Dion Lewis told Two On Your Side's Stu Boyar "their speed, their size, their scrappiness on defense. We just have to make sure that w play physical and that we come ready to play our game.  If we get into a track meet with them I don't think we're that much at a disadvantage. We have quick people on our team and we're able to get down the floor pretty quickly and  as long as we release and watch out for guys releasing we should be all right." Senior Alex Turecki told Stu "our game is more half court, they're very athletic  and we just want to slow things down and play our pace that way we can come out with a win."Senior Johnathan Belton said "we don't want to try to run with them because they're a really fast team, they can finish good in transition so if we slow them down I like our chances."

Tigers head coach Chris Kensy told Stu "they know what's at stake. The winner goes on to Rochester to play against Section 5. They don't want to lose so they're going to give everything that they have to prevent that. Hopefully we can go and have a good showing. I have confidence in eery single one of my kids from freshman all the way to senior and how hard they work and the togetherness between amonst each other. I know we're going to work hard. Anytime they've had a bad game a bad play they come the next day ready to work.  They push each other and each kid knows that that guy behind him has his back."

Amherst has won 19 straight games coming into Tuesday's championship game. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 at Buffalo State College.
