BUFFALO, NY-- The Buffalo Sabres are dead last in their division and many fans are hoping changes will be made to get them back to their winning ways.

When he took over nearly two years ago, Sabres owner Terry Pegula said the sole reason for the franchise to exist was to win the Stanley Cup.

But, 14-games into the lockout-shortened season, the Sabres seem
as far as ever from that goal.

Head Coach Lindy Ruff had his team back on the ice Thursday at First Niagara Center getting ready for Friday night's game with Boston, and despite the team's 5-8-1 start, he continues to have the support of Sabres owner Terry Pegula.

Team President Ted Black echoed that support when he sat down with 2 On Your Side's Adam Benigni.

This is what he had to say to the many Sabres' fans who are beyond frustrated with the team's losing outcome.

Adam Benigni:   Do the fans have a right to expect more?

Ted Black:   Hell yeah. There's no town that deserves Stanley Cup more than this one.  The fans expect more, they deserve more, and we're going to do the damnest we can to provide more.

We'll have more in-depth interviews with Black, Ruff and Darcy Regier on Sunday during the pre-game show Sunday on Channel 2 at 11:30am, as well as wgrz.com.
