Cholesterol and blood pressure levels may drop by changing the kind of oils used in cooking.

Researchers in Japan found that using rice bran oil and sesame oil may help lower both systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

The study that included 300 people with mild to moderate hypertension also showed a drop in l-d-d, or "bad" cholesterol.

Antioxidants found in the oils may be the key.
