BUFFALO, NY - A Buffalo woman pleaded guilty to multiple charges in connection with a road accident that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital in June.

Jennifer Garon, 36, of Davey Street, admitted in State Supreme Court in Buffalo on Monday that she ran a red light on West Utica Street on June 5th, cutting off 51-year-old Jeffrey Stanton, who was riding his motorcycle. Stanton was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered serious injuries, including a broken leg and a head injury. Garon ran from the scene, hopping a fence to get away, but was followed by a bystander and subsequently arrested by Buffalo police officers.

A blood test on Garon showed evidence of morphine, cocaine, marijuana and alcohol in her system.

She pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a serious physical injury accident and driving while impaired by drugs and alcohol. She faces a maximum sentence of 1-1/3 to four years in jail when she is sentenced by State Supreme Court Judge Christopher Christopher Burns on February 27th.
