Amherst Man Convicted of Sex Trafficking

BUFFALO, NY - An Amherst man faces a lengthy prison sentence after being convicted of sex trafficking charges.

Kenneth Graham, 25,  was found guilty Thursday by a Federal Grand Jury of of sex trafficking by force, sex trafficking of a minor by force, and sex trafficking of a minor. 

Officials say that in late-2010 and mid-2012 Graham recruited, promoted and profited from prostitution activities of two minor girls under the age of 18, as well as a third female victim in her 20s.

Several of the incidents took place in hotels in Amherst and Cheektowaga.

Graham was also accused of assaulting the victims.

"This is the first sex trafficking conviction at trial in the Western District of New York," said U.S. Attorney Hochul. "Based on charges recently filed by our Office, the problem of human trafficking appears to be growing, but so too is our ability to investigate and prosecute these crimes. In the past year, we have filed charges against seven defendants who are accused of victimizing a total of 12 victims."

Graham faces a minimum of 15 years in prison to a maximum of life a $250,000 fine or both when he is sentenced.
