BUFFALO N.Y. - When she was found by Rural/Metro EMT Norine Hoch, the five month old puppy was on death's door. Cold and starved, this Pit Bull made an mediate impression on Norine.
The dog was taken to the SPCA, her future uncertain. Named Metro the little dog began to respond to medical treatment. Within weeks Metro was spending time with a foster family. However, Norine hadn't forgotten about that pup.
With her health restored Norine Hoch completed the circle and adopted that puppy. Renamed Abby, Norine went to the SPCA on Monday to pick up the newest member of her family.
As for Abby's medical bills, the folks at Rural/Metro made a donation of seven hundred fifty dollars to the SPCA to help cover those costs.
