BUFFALO, N.Y. - People who rang in the New Year at Statler City were not disappointed this year.
Statler City owner, Mark Croce, said Wednesday that they learned from their mistakes at last year's Ice Ball.
This year revelers were treated to four live entertainers, two disc jockeys, fine dining, a champagne toast and most of all room to move and dance.
Last year the event marked the official reopening of the Statler and there were lots of complaints about long lines for food and drinks and no where to sit.
This year Croce said they put a limit on the number of tickets sold to prevent overcrowding. Croce said there was plenty of room this year and by the reviews on Facebook and Twitter people in attendance had a good time.
More than 4,000 people bought tickets to last year's event.
This year, just over 2,000 people attended the Ice Ball.
