WARSAW, N.Y. - Wyoming County Sheriff's deputies say they have arrested a Warsaw man after he struck a road sign and forced three other drivers off-road Friday.

Deputies say they arrested 35-year-old Jeffrey Murphy following a report that a vehicle had struck a street sign at the intersection of Oatka Road and Kenney Road at 9 p.m. Friday.

Police say Murphy continued driving to Route 19 in South Warsaw where Probation Officers saw him force three other vehicles off the road.

Deputies say Murphy is charged with Felony First Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, 2 counts of Second Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, and Misdemeanor Aggravated DWI for driving with a 0.08% B.A.C. or more.

Sheriff's deputies say Murphy was more than three times the legal limit and has not had a valid driver's license in nearly 14 years.

Police say Murphy was arraigned in Warsaw Court and taken to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. Police say Murphy is scheduled to appear in Warsaw Court in January 2013.
