DEPEW, N.Y. -- A local restaurant is taking the 'season of giving' to heart., and helping a center in Buffalo that helps so many in need.
Wednesday night, Denny's on Transit and French in Depew donated 20% of its dinner profits to the Response to Love Center.
The Center ran into trouble last month when its boiler broke just days before Thanksgiving. Enough donations came in to help buy a new furnace and it's expected to be up and running by Friday. Sister Mary Johnice Rzadkiewicz says the new boiler has a name, but she's keeping it a secret for now.
"Advent is the time of waiting, so perhaps we should name it something in the Advent season, as well as the christmas season, and holiday season. So, I guess I'm throwing it out to the public and saying what do you think the name of our boiler is gonna be?" said Sister Johnice.
Sister Johnice says a plaque has already been made for the boiler and a blessing ceremony is planned for Friday morning
