BUFFALO, N.Y. - Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says negotiations to extend the Buffalo Bills lease at Ralph Wilson Stadium have resumed after a three week break to allow New York State officials to focus on the aftermath of hurricane Sandy.
Poloncarz told 2 On Your Side's Scott Levin that he likes the position the county is in as the negotiations continue. Despite the optimism, Poloncarz would not put a timetable on when a deal would be announced.
Poloncarz had hoped a deal would be reached before training camp started in August.
There is still a chance a one year lease extension will be needed.
The Bills, Erie County and New York State are all involved in the lease negotiations. The Bills have asked for stadium improvements to be a part of the next lease.
