AMHERST, NY - Police officers in Amherst came to the aid of one of their own Monday morning.
The officer was on patrol when he suffered a medical condition which caused him to become disoriented.
He used his cell phone to call the dispatch center and they then "pinged" his phone to see where he was.
Fellow officers and an ambulance crew from Twin City arrived to the officer's location within minutes.
The officer was treated at the scene and released into the care of a fellow police officer.
