26th Annual WNY HS Football Banquet Highlights

Jacob Caldwell, Frewsburg's Sr., was the Scholar Athlete of the Year.

A total of 223 awards were distributed.

John Murphy, voice of the Buffalo Bills, emceed the event for the 26th consecutive year.

The first Allen Wilson Media Award was presented by Lisa Wilson, Allen's wife, to Keith McShed of the Buffalo News.

Rich Robbins of Canisius received the NFL, Buffalo Bills, and National Guard's Coach of the Year award.

A special award was presented to the Randolph players and coaches for winning the Class D State Championship.

41 student athletes comprised the WNY High School football academic team.

Charles Hoch from Jamestown was selected Manager of the Year.

A special award was presented to Dick Diminuco, Alden's Head Coach, who recently announced his retirment. The award was presented for his service to High School Football in WNY and NYS.

Rev. Jerry Bartko and Brian Madej were recipients of the Mike Perrk Memorial Award for the referees of the year.

Qadree Ollison, Canisius' Jr. RB, received the Buffalo News Co-Player of the Year award. Ryan Hunter was at Bowling Green on his official visit.
