CAMBRIA, NY - A shooting in the Town of Cambria Wednesday morning lead to a standoff.

Niagara County Sheriff James Voutour tells 2 On Your Side a woman was shot in the face allegedly by her husband.  She was found in the roadway on Campbell Boulevard.

The suspect later took his own life inside his home.

The woman was taken to ECMC with serious injuries.

Sheriff Voutour says the couple has a three-year-old daughter who was in the home during the standoff.

The child has been safely remooved from the home.

State Troopers and Niagara County Sheriff Deputies continue to surrounded the home.

Officials say the initial incident began as a domestic incident between a husband and wife.
