BUFFALO, N.Y. -- It's obvious that Bills fans are frustrated with the team's 4-7 record by the fact that there are thousands of seats left for Sunday's home game against the Jaguars that will be blacked out on local television.

The front office is pretty frustrated too that those who cover the team are asking about the Bills woeful record.

General Manager Buddy Nix threatened to end an interview Friday morning when asked about the head coach and quarterback.

Howard Simon is the morning host on WGR Sports Radio which carries the team's games.  He asked Nix about the future of Chan Gailey and Ryan Fitzpatrick and whether he's gotten input from owner Ralph Wilson on that matter.

Here's a portion of their exchange.

SIMON: "At this point, are you expecting Chan Gailey and Ryan Fitzpatrick both to be back next season in their respective roles?"

NIX: "Ya know, I addressed that about two or three weeks ago, and the reason was so I wouldn't have to do it every week, or after every loss. So I'm through discussing that."

SIMON: "Has he (Wilson) given you any indication how he feels about the performance of the coach and the quarterback?"

NIX: "Howard, you can change the subject, or we can let this thing go dead."

The interview went on for about ten more minutes.

This is the third season Gailey has been coach and Fitzpatrick has been quarterback.

The Bills are all but assured of missing the playoffs for a 13th consecutive season.
