SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. - Several inches of wet snow fell across parts of Western New York earlier this morning.

Roads were clear in Buffalo and areas north of downtown, but conditions quickly deteriorated as you headed south.
There was a dusting on the 219 south in the town of Boston, but just a few miles beyond that roads were completely covered. At times visibility was down to about a quarter of a mile.
Six to eight inches is expected to fall in parts of Chautauqua County throughout the day.
Ski resorts and other seasonal businesses are welcoming the flakes.
Holiday Valley plans to open next week. They are making their own snow but say they could use a little help from mother nature.
Last year Holiday Valley opened two weeks later than normal due to an unusually mild winter. The ski season was cut short to only 97 days.
