Paul Ceglia being led out of Federal Court in handcuffs. October 26, 2012
BUFFALO, N.Y.- "Just when you thought it couldn't get any stranger, it gets stranger" said one legal official connected to the case who declined further comment on the letter.
Thursday, a Motion to Intervene was introduced in the two-year-old civil case between Paul Ceglia and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. The motion was filed via U.S. mail by someone claiming to be James Charles Kopp, who is currently serving a 25 to life sentence for the 1998 murder of Dr. Barnett Slepian.

The body of the statement claims that Kopp and Ceglia had been pen pals for four years, and that they were in a sexual relationship from 2008 until this past October when Ceglia was arrested on fraud charges. Kopp, in the statement, goes on to implicate Ceglia in the killing of Dr. Slepian. "I will testify that Paul Ceglia was the trigger man and he shot Barnett Slepian, not me. I was framed by Paul Ceglia, and I ask this court for a new hearing on this matter."
The statement goes on to claim that Kopp now supports all abortions and denounces the lambs of Christ. However, as of last month, Kopp is listed among the Inmates for Christ on a blog entitled "Abortion is Murder".
2 On Your Side spoke with a representative of the U.S. Department of Corrections who said that there is no way to confirm whether the letter containing the court motion was actually sent from the prison. "Anyone can put a prison's return address on a letter going through the mail."
As for Ceglia, he posted bail earlier this week and was scheduled to be released Friday.
