GRAND ISLAND, NY - Students at Grand Island High School are learning first hand the ins and outs of political elections. The timing could not be better.
Teachers, Bob Simpson and Rob Hennessy have their students following the Presidential election. They dissect ads, learn the differences between parties, learn about campaigns and the electoral process. They've also studied the Presidential debates.
For the students, it is a first hand look at what will someday be in their history books. For teachers, it's a way to energize the class and talk about what is real and the issues that may have an impact on the future of each and every student.
