Doctor Visits Lower for Cancer Survivors

Many survivors of childhood or early adult cancers may avoid going to the doctor for routine medical care -- because it's too expensive.

Doctors say it's important for cancer survivors to continue seeing doctors so they can detect any potential long-term problems early.

Researchers at the University of Utah say cancer survivors were 67-percent less likely to seek routine medical care than their peers... even when they had health insurance.
