NIAGARA FALLS, NY- The Niagara Falls mayor has already pushed back the release of his budget once, and now it's possible he may do it again.

Mayor Paul Dyster was supposed to present his budget to the City Council by the beginning of the month. At that time, he announced his "disaster" budget was not ready, and he would try to have it completed by the next meeting October 15th. He said he'd rather give the City Council a stronger budget a little bit late, than a weaker one on time.

Tuesday, Dyster said he's not sure if the budget will be ready by that time either. He wouldn't release details of the budget before he presents it to the council members.

The Mayor asked for an extension because he says there is a huge gap caused by the $60 million dollars in casino revenue that's being withheld because of the Seneca Nation's dispute with New York State. The dispute is rooted in what the Senecas claim are violations of its gaming compact with the state to operate casinos exclusively in Western New York.
