JAMESTOWN, N.Y-In a wild high scoring affair Jamestown beat Orchard Park 35-28 Friday night at Strider Field in Jamestown.
Orchard Park scored on their first posession to take a 7-0 lead but Jamestown scored the next three touchdowns to take a 21-7 lead. The Quakers first touchdown came on a 31 yard pass from Ben Holmes to Austin Goltz. Then Jamestown took over scoring three straight touchdowns before Orchard Park rallied to make it 21-14 on a touchdown just before halftime with starting quarterback Ben Holmes out of the game after being carted off with an injury.
Jamestown led 28-20 after three quarters before the Quakers ralllied to tie at 28. The winning score was set up by a Da'Quan Hollingsworth kickoff return. Red Raiders quarterback Jake Sisson was 15 for 20 for 179 yards and three touchdowns. Sisson hit Stephen Carlson for an eight yard touchdown pass for the winning score after a Hollingsdowrth kickoff return. Running back # 2 Da'Quan Hollingsworth had 26 carries for 161 yards and a touchdown.
For Orchard park # 5 Mitchell Wilson carried 18 times for 174 yards a touchdown, the touchdown coming on an 80 yard run. Wide receiver # 8 Austin Goltz had six catches for 104 yards and two touchdowns.
The Jamestown win snaps Orchard Park's 18 game winning streak. It also snaps a 12 game winning streak the Quakers had over the Red Raiders. Orchard Park's last loss was in the 2010 Section 6 title game against Clarence. The lost time OP lost to Jamestown was in the 2002 season.
