BUFFALO, N.Y. -- A federal grand jury has indicted a Williamsville man suspected of making bombs in his apartment.
25-year-old Duncan Badding was indicted on charges of unlawfully making and unlawfully possessing destructive devices. The charges carry a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 or both.
In August, Badding, who lived at 66 Williamsburg Square Apartments, was taken into custody on state charges including Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third degree and Reckless Endangerment in the First degree.
Amherst Police were called to his apartment after someone heard shots being fired. When police arrived they found Badding had set up a target practice in the front yard and was shooting a .22 caliber rifle. Inside Badding's apartment, officers spotted additional firearms, ammunition and suspected home-made explosives.
