Teens charged in connection to the murder of Isabella Tennant: John Robert Freeman (L) and Tyler Scott Best (R)
LOCKPORT, NY - Two suspects charged in connection with the death of five-year-old Isabella Tennant were arraigned on a grand jury indictment Monday afternoon.
John Freeman, Jr. is charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence.
Freeman's friend, Tyler Best, is charged with one count of hindering prosecution and one count of tampering with evidence.
Tennant was spending the night at her great-grandmother's house in Niagara Falls when she was reported missing in August. Her body was found in a garbage bin that same day just a few blocks from her great-grandmother's home.
Investigators say Freeman killed Tennant and Best helped him dispose of her body. Best later told police where to find Tennant's body.

The two suspects didn't say much other than "Yes, your honor" and "No, your honor" as they answered to the charges handed down by the grand jury during their brief arraignments. They were not in the courtroom together.
Both teens pled not guilty and are being held without bail.
