BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Buffalo Police have made an arrest in the city's latest homicide.
Police say 22-year-old John Carney is accused of shooting two people as they stood outside a home on Fillmore Avenue early Sunday morning.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The other is still being treated at ECMC and is expected to survive.
Police say witnesses helped them identify Carney as the alleged shooter, and he himself ended up shot a short time later.
Police say it's another example of how much help from the community is needed in crimes like these.
