MEDINA, NY-- A Medina firefighter, arrested Monday for allegedly committing a sex act with a child under 17, is facing more charges.
Investigators say Jeffrey R. Elsenheimer, Jr., 31, was arrested Tuesday and charged with several more felonies in connection to the original charge of criminal sexual act and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators say a search warrant was executed on Elsenheimer's cell phone, which brought on the additional charges. In addition to Monday's charges, Elsenheimer is charged with:
Three counts of promoting a sexual performance of a child (D felony)
Three counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child (E felony)
One count of criminal sexual act in the third degree (E felony
One count of official misconduct
One count of endangering the welfare of a child.
Elsenheimer is accused of committing some of these acts while on duty at the fire station.
Elsenheimer is a six-year veteran of the Medina Fire Department. He is currently on administrative paid leave from the fire department pending the outcome of the investigation.
He was arraigned in Town of Ridgeway court and committed to the Orleans County Jail on $25,000 bail. His next court date is August 31.
Police officials say they are continuing their investigation and more charges are pending.
